Everything is held to a higher standard, which means higher demands equals individuals feeling a diminished sense of belonging. In other words, society has set a standard for what is adequate. Not only has society set this standard, but also individuals place labels on what's idealistic, rather than what's realistic and genuine. Truthfully, as a whole we are unique in our ways, because it's our imperfections that truly make us who we are. If you embrace your imperfections, you'll better understand that is not all picture perfect. If life was perfect, we would have nothing to live for, or even strive for.
